In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: defer final 'struct net' free in netns dismantle
Ilya reported a slab-use-after-free in dst_destroy [1]
Issue is in xfrm6_net_init() and xfrm4_net_init() :
They copy xfrm[46]_dst_ops_template into net->xfrm.xfrm[46]_dst_ops.
But net structure might be freed before all the dst callbacks are
called. So when dst_destroy() calls later :
if (dst->ops->destroy)
dst->ops->destroy(dst);
dst->ops points to the old net->xfrm.xfrm[46]_dst_ops, which has been freed.

CVE-2024-56660
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: DR, prevent potential error pointer dereference The dr_domain_add_vport_cap() function generally returns NULL on error but sometimes we want it to return ERR_PTR(-EBUSY) so the caller can retry. The problem here is that "ret" can be either -EBUSY or -ENOMEM and if it's and -ENOMEM then the error pointer is propogated back and eventually dereferenced in dr_ste_v0_build_src_gvmi_qpn_tag().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: acpi: nfit: vmalloc-out-of-bounds Read in acpi_nfit_ctl Fix an issue detected by syzbot with KASAN: BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in cmd_to_func drivers/acpi/nfit/ core.c:416 [inline] BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in acpi_nfit_ctl+0x20e8/0x24a0 drivers/acpi/nfit/core.c:459 The issue occurs in cmd_to_func when the call_pkg->nd_reserved2 array is accessed without verifying that call_pkg points to a buffer that is appropriately sized as a struct nd_cmd_pkg. This can lead to out-of-bounds access and undefined behavior if the buffer does not have sufficient space. To address this, a check was added in acpi_nfit_ctl() to ensure that buf is not NULL and that buf_len is less than sizeof(*call_pkg) before accessing it. This ensures safe access to the members of call_pkg, including the nd_reserved2 array.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf,perf: Fix invalid prog_array access in perf_event_detach_bpf_prog Syzbot reported [1] crash that happens for following tracing scenario: - create tracepoint perf event with attr.inherit=1, attach it to the process and set bpf program to it - attached process forks -> chid creates inherited event the new child event shares the parent's bpf program and tp_event (hence prog_array) which is global for tracepoint - exit both process and its child -> release both events - first perf_event_detach_bpf_prog call will release tp_event->prog_array and second perf_event_detach_bpf_prog will crash, because tp_event->prog_array is NULL The fix makes sure the perf_event_detach_bpf_prog checks prog_array is valid before it tries to remove the bpf program from it. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix UAF via mismatching bpf_prog/attachment RCU flavors Uprobes always use bpf_prog_run_array_uprobe() under tasks-trace-RCU protection. But it is possible to attach a non-sleepable BPF program to a uprobe, and non-sleepable BPF programs are freed via normal RCU (see __bpf_prog_put_noref()). This leads to UAF of the bpf_prog because a normal RCU grace period does not imply a tasks-trace-RCU grace period. Fix it by explicitly waiting for a tasks-trace-RCU grace period after removing the attachment of a bpf_prog to a perf_event.

Fix this by calling ionic_lif_unregister() on register_netdev() failure. This will also call ionic_lif_unregister_phc() if it has already been registered.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mscc: ocelot: fix incorrect IFH SRC_PORT field in ocelot_ifh_set_basic() Packets injected by the CPU should have a SRC_PORT field equal to the CPU port module index in the Analyzer block (ocelot->num_phys_ports). The blamed commit copied the ocelot_ifh_set_basic() call incorrectly from ocelot_xmit_common() in net/dsa/tag_ocelot.c. Instead of calling with "x", it calls with BIT_ULL(x), but the field is not a port mask, but rather a single port index. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/pseries/vas: Add close() callback in vas_vm_ops struct The mapping VMA address is saved in VAS window struct when the paste address is mapped. This VMA address is used during migration to unmap the paste address if the window is active. The paste address mapping will be removed when the window is closed or with the munmap(). But the VMA address in the VAS window is not updated with munmap() which is causing invalid access during migration. Local u8 rb[2] is used in i2c_transfer() as a read buffer; in case that call fails, the buffer may end up with some undefined values. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: netem: account for backlog updates from child qdisc
In general, 'qlen' of any classful qdisc should keep track of the
number of packets that the qdisc itself and all of its children holds.
In case of netem, 'qlen' only accounts for the packets in its internal
tfifo. When netem is used with a child qdisc, the child qdisc can use
'qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog' to inform its parent, netem, about created
or dropped SKBs. This function updates 'qlen' and the backlog statistics
of netem, but netem does not account for changes made by a child qdisc.
'qlen' then indicates the wrong number of packets in the tfifo.
If a child qdisc creates new SKBs during enqueue and informs its parent
about this, netem's 'qlen' value is increased. When netem dequeues the
newly created SKBs from the child, the 'qlen' in netem is not updated.
If 'qlen' reaches the configured sch->limit, the enqueue function stops
working, even though the tfifo is not full.
Reproduce the bug:
Ensure that the sender machine has GSO enabled. Configure netem as root
qdisc and tbf as its child on the outgoing interface of the machine
as follows:
